Barbara Bermudo, who was born on June 5, 1975 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, is one of the most popular Puerto Rican journalists in the world. The Cuban-descent brunette became popular when she landed a hosting gig on Univision’s long-running Spanish afternoon news program “Primer Impacto” (First Impact) in 2002. On the show, Barbara Bermudo and her co-hosts Fernando Del Rincon and Jackie Guerrido, featured human interest stories to audiences in the U.S. and 12 Latin-American countries.

After joining ‘Primer Impacto,’ Barbara Bermudo became a star in both Puerto Rico and with the Hispanic population in the United States. In 2003, Bermudo had a small role as a Miami TV reporter in the Latino comedy flick “Chasing Papi,” which starred Sofia Vergara, Jaci Velasquez and Roselyn Sanchez.

In 2004 and 2005, Barbara Bermudo became a host of two TV shows – “Noche de Estrellas” (The Night of Stars) and “Lo Que no vio de Premios lo Nuestro” (What you didn't see in Lo Nuestro Awards). Bermudo also appeared on other TV programs and talk shows, including “El Escandalo del Mediodia” (The Midday Scandal), “Que Bodas” (What a Wedding) and “El Show de Cristina.” Barbara Bermudo has also guest-starred in other entertainment shows, such as Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight. In 2008, Barbara also announced the artists nominated for the 9th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards.

In 2007, Barbara Bermudo was featured in the People En Español list of “50 Most Beautiful People” and was one of the eight cover celebrities on that issue. In Puerto Rico, Barbara was dubbed as the “Most Beautiful Face in TV.” She has also graced the covers of numerous magazines, particularly Latin-oriented mags, such as “Siempre Mujer,” and “People En Español.” Barbara Bermudo has become the spokesperson of Kraft and Pantene.

Barbara Bermudo married her longtime boyfriend and Univision colleague Mario Andres Moreno in a civil wedding on Dade County. On November 30, 2008, just a few weeks after their civil wedding, the couple had an elaborate wedding celebration at the Paradisus Palma Real hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. In 2009, Barbara Bermudo and her husband Moreno welcomed their first baby – a girl named Mia Andrea.
